Tender are invited for REQUEST FOR AMENDMENT/CHANGE IN APPROPRIATIONLAS 11352Pursuant to AS 46.15 and 11 AAC 93, notice is hereby given that DNR is requesting to amend/update LAS 11352, a permit to appropriate for an existing public drinking water well field for the Anchorage Water & Wastewater Utility in Girdwood.The Anchorage Water & Wastewater Utility (AWWU) has requested certification of water right LAS 11352 for the public drinking water system in Girdwood. AWWU purchased the two wells from Seibu Alaska Inc, the original applicant and permit holder. The existing permit to appropriate was transferred to AWWU by DNR-Water on April 16, 1993. The casefile has remained in good standing since.A signed and notarized Statement of Beneficial Use with the required minimum 10 years of water use data was received by DNR-Water on February 4, 2025. In reviewing the casefile, it was noted that DNR did not public notice the change in the type of use or the area of appropriation when the casefile was transferred to AWWU.Please see the attached affidavit of publication for the original public notice from December 4, 1987.
