Title: Notice of Intent to Sole Source to Toptica Photonics Inc
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is seeking information from sources that may be capable of providing a Laser Spectrum Analyzer. If no alternate sources are identified, the Government intends to issue a Sole Source Award to Toptica Photonics Inc 1120 Pittsford Victor RD Pittsford, New York 14534) under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b); only one source reasonably available. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 334516.
BACKGROUND
The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Physical Measurement Laboratory (PML) Group 4 requires a Laser Spectrum Analyzer to provide calibration services for detectors and spectroradiometers.
General Requirements:
The Contractor shall provide the following laser spectrum analyzer that meet the following minimum specifications:
1000 Hz, 5-nanosecond laser pulse measurement capability. Optical fiber coupling input optic. 192 nm to 1180 nm wavelength measurement range. 6 pm absolute accuracy from 200 nm to 390 nm. 6 GHz absolute accuracy from 390 nm to 1150 nm. Multimode fiber coupling accuracy better than 12 GHz. Resolving power of 10,000 with 50-micron multimode fiber. Maximum linewidth of at least 500 GHz (0.5 THz). The unit must have an internal wavelength calibration. A software interface for reading out measurement results shall be included. Power may be supplied by USB cable or 110 V/60 Hz. No dimension may exceed 400 mm. Weight shall be less than 5 kg.NIST is seeking information from sources that may be capable of providing a solution that will achieve the objectives described above.
