Description:
IntentThe Jersey City Board of Education has determined that the school facility building located at 70 Bright Street, Jersey City, NJ 07302 (hereinafter referred to as the “Facility”) is not being used as a school facility for its students. The Board reserves the right, at some future time, to require the use again for school purposes. The Board intends to enter into a five (5) year lease with a qualified bidder for the use of the building to run a career and technical education program. There may be an option to renew the lease if the Board receives State of New Jersey approval to extend the lease. All lease renewals are subject to the Board of Education adopting a resolution at a public meeting to extend the lease. The lease will be a Full-Service Lease, and the bidder-s rate should be an all-inclusive rate. Description of the PropertyThe Jersey City Board of Education is the owner of the land located at 70 Bright Street, Jersey City, Hudson County, New Jersey, that is commonly referred to as the Old Number 3 School. The building is located on the property of 70 Bright Street, Jersey City, Hudson County, NJ. The building was previously used as a school facility, originally built as an elementary school, which is commonly referred to as the Old Number 3 School. Uses for the Facility—Career and Technical Education ServicesThe District seeks bids from qualified vendors to provide Career and Technical Education (“CTE”) Services and/or specialized career focused programs within the essential vocational trades designed to prepare students for success in high-demand careers through academic integration, technical skill training, and work-based learning opportunities.
