DESCRIPTION:
THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD ON A SOLE SOURCE BASIS. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE/PROPOSALS.

The purpose of this acquisition is to provide the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Mouse Imaging Facility (MIF) with hardware and software maintenance support for LI-COR Pearl Imaging System. The LI-COR Pearl in vivo imaging system uses state-of-the-art optical technology for preclinical imaging research and development. It is ideal for non-invasive longitudinal monitoring of disease progression, cell trafficking and gene expression patterns in living animals. We need to maintain the equipment with optimal functionality and minimize downtime in order to support ongoing NIH preclinical research studies.

The Contractor shall provide the following support for one (1) LI-COR Pearl imaging system (Serial number PRL-3180) and all its associated system parts and software including:

1. One (1) yearly preventive maintenance visit that will include the following:
•Ensure the system performance meets manufacturer specifications
•Ensure laser functions working properly
•Ensure camera detection working properly
•Analyze the instrument history logs for potential issues
•Verification of normal operations test (VNOT)
•Open instrument to lubricate one of the imaging axis, if needed.
