Description:
The City of San Marino is soliciting proposals from qualified and interested companies to provide primary library materials for the Crowell Public Library. The Library is interested in materials for adult, teen, and juvenile audiences, including international languages such as Chinese and Spanish. Library materials include but are not limited to books, audiobooks on CD, and VOX books. The initial term of the contract will be from the date awarded to June 30, 2026. Following that, the contract will be for three years, with up to two additional one-year extensions.Based upon previous years- spending and current year-s budget, it is estimated that the City will allocate approximately $50,000 to $75,000 total for all the materials specified in this RFP each fiscal year (July 1 to June 30). In fiscal year 2024-25, the City expended approximately $65,000 on books, audiobooks on CD, and VOX books. For the initial term of this contract (date awarded to June 30, 2026), it is estimated that the City will spend $30,000 (remainder of the budget for the fiscal year). The City is not obligated to purchase any specified quantity, and variations occur annually depending upon the approved annual budget.
