The General Services Administration (GSA), Great Lakes Region 5, is seeking a qualified contractor to upgrade approximately 450 ground floor compact fluorescent luminaires with LED luminaries to be remounted in the current historically custom manufactured ring/fixture and replace and program lighting controls at the U.S. Post Office, 211 South Clark Street, Chicago, Illinois.
The construction period of performance is 365 days upon receipt of Notice to Proceed.
This procurement is a total small business set aside. The North American Industrial Classification Code (NAICS) is 236220 with a size standard of $45.0 million.
The total estimated construction cost for this project is between $750,000 and $3,500,000.
This is a negotiated procurement; there will NOT be a public bid opening.
The awardee will be competitively chosen using evaluation factors consisting of experience, past performance, qualifications of key personnel, project management plan/approach, and price. Non-price factors will be considered more important than price. As non-price factors become equal, price becomes the determining factor.
The solicitation will be available on or about May 20, 2024.
Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading the solicitation and monitoring the website for amendment(s), if any to the solicitation. Offers will be due on or about June 20, 2024 at 4:00pm (Central Time). A pre-proposal conference and site visit will be held on or about June 5, 2024 at the construction site and notifications to the Contracting Officer of proposed attendance will be required. We consider attendance at this conference vital to the preparation of a competitive and cost effective proposal and to understanding the total result desired by the Government. Failure to attend this meeting may not be used as an excuse for omission and miscalculations in offers.
