All interested companies shall provide quotations for the following:BACKGROUND The West Haven, CT Medical Center performs scheduled Generator testing and Switch Gear / Breaker Testing as mandated by Joint Commission and VA requirements. These tests impact the main electrical feeder switchgear to the facility. When these tests or actual breaker trips occur, there is a lengthy process of testing to re-set the main feeder breaker in Load Center 1. Having a spare main breaker will allow these tests to happen with minimal outage impact. It also protects the facility of major scheduled or unscheduled time.
