NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCEThis notice of proposed contract action is in accordance with (IAW) FAR 5.203(a).The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office (NCO) 09, hereby provides notice of its intent to award a sole source, firm-fixed price contract for the products/services listed below to a large business, Phigenics LLC, headquartered in Warrenville, Illinois. The contract is expected to be awarded under the authority of FAR 13.501(a), Sole Source Acquisitions as a base plus 4 (four) option years. A Sole source Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition has been prepared and will be posted at a later date. The anticipated award date is no later than 05/01/2025.This solution is intended to provide continual maintenance of a Water Safety Management Program, including continuous monitoring, maintenance of monitoring equipment, and water quality testing with the goal of preventing Legionella associated with building water systems for each building in which patients, visitors, and/or staff lodges overnight, and associated chiller system cooling towers for the Robley Rex Veterans Affairs Medical Center at 800 Zorn Avenue and associated replacement medical center under construction at 4906 Brownsboro Rd., Louisville, Kentucky.Market research found no vendor other than Phigenics LLC could meet this requirement at the level of technical quality required.
