This is a sources sought notice required when using only approved sources under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1). DLA Land and Maritime is considering a future solicitation(s), and subsequent award, of an Indefinite Quantity Contract (IQC/LTC) for thirty-five (35) National Stock Numbers (NSNs) listed on the attached Market Research Spreadsheet.
This acquisition is for supplies for which the Government does not possess complete unrestrictive technical data; therefore, the Government intends to solicit and contract with only approved sources under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1). Please provide any additional sources that may be able to manufacture these items. See attached Market Survey Questionnaire and Market Research LTC Spreadsheet for NSNs and approved sources. Please complete and return directly to the buyer.
Should a company wish to be reviewed and qualified as an “Approved Source”, they may submit an application package through the DLA Land and Maritime Alternate Offer/Source Approval Request (SAR) Program. A SAR package contains all technical data needed to demonstrate that the prospective contractor can competently manufacture the product to the same level of quality or better than the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). The onus is on the contractor to document and demonstrate their product is equal to, or better, than the currently approved item which DLA Land and Maritime is procuring.
