Description
The U.S. Army Contracting Command-New Jersey, on behalf of PM Soldier Lethality (SL), intends to modify contract W15QKN-20-D-0044 with Knight-s Armament Company to increase the maximum total contract dollar amount in order to satisfy additional requirements. This modification will be pursuant to the authority of Title 10 United State Code (U.S.C.) Section 3204(a)(1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1 (a)(2)(ii)(A), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Knight-s Armament Company was the only company identified through market research that could provide the necessary (firearms), namely the M110 Caliber 7.62mm Semi-Automatic Sniper System with and associated accessories to include magazines and spare parts which met the Government's requirements for a Commercial off the Shelf (COTS). The M110 SASS is built in accordance with and meets MIL-PRF-32316 w/ Amendment 1. FAR 5.201(b)(1)(ii) requires the Agencies to make notices of proposed contracts actions available for, “Modification to an existing contract for additional supplies or services that meets the threshold in 5.101(a)(1) (exceeding $25,000).
