This is a notice of the Government s intent to award a sole source, open market purchase order under 41 U.S.C. § 1901, as implemented by FAR 13.106-1(b)(2). The justification for this sole source action is the authority at FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The Veterans Integrated Service Network 6 (VISN 6) intends to negotiate a sole source purchase order with MARATHON MEDICAL (UEI: YNGKKQWQLKC9) for Hologic magnetic surgical guidance equipment, specifically the Magseed/Magtrace products manufactured by Endomag. Magseed and Magtrace system is the only devise with sentinel lymph node capability through the use of magnetic dye. The requiring service has reviewed and trialed different products/methods and has identified Magseed/Magtrace as the most suitable product(s) for its facility.The applicable NAICS code is 339112, SURGICAL AND MEDICAL INSTRUMENT MANUFACTURING (SBA Size Standard: 1000 employees). This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation documents are available and telephonic inquiries will not be taken. However, if a party believes it can meet this requirement it must furnish information about its capability, as well as references from other customers who are using these services to the Contracting Officer by 05:30PM Eastern Time on Monday, August 18, 2025. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to perform the required service. Responses received will be reviewed, however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. After the closing date and time of this notice, if no other substantiated sources are identified, the Contracting Officer will proceed with the sole source action.
