Notice of Intent to Award a Sole Source Contract
The Department of State intends to award a sole source contract to OTIS Belgium. The firm fixed-price contract will provide for continued elevator maintenance services. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, the government has determined that OTIS Belgium is the only responsible source able to provide the continued elevator maintenance services required on OTIS elevators and dumbaiters located in USG offices and residences.
This is not a request for competitive proposals, and no solicitation is available. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which shall be considered by the agency. Interested sources must respond in writing with clear and convincing evidence to support their ability to provide the required services within seven (7) days of this publication. A determination by the Government not to compete this action based on responses received is solely within the discretion of the Government.
Authority: FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
Companies should respond by written correspondence no later than June 2nd, 2025.
