Description
The U.S. Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG), Natick Division in support of the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command - Soldier Center (DEVCOM-SC) intends to award a Firm Fixed Price contract on a sole source basis to Deatak Inc located at 4004 W Dayton St, Mchenry, Illinois 60050-8376, under the authority as prescribed in FAR 13.106-1(b)(1).
The requirement is for a full coverage service agreement for a Microscale Combustion Calorimeter (MCC3) to include one preventative maintenance visit, all parts, travel, and labor. Deatak Inc, is the only known company capable of providing the preventative maintenance services as they are the only known manufacturer of this niche equipment. Deatak-s technicians are the only ones capable of performing these services due to their expertise and no known third parties being available. Additionally, Deatak-s data analysis software and software to run the equipment is proprietary, making it so only Deatak can provide the needed services for any software issues.
The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 811210 and the size standard is $34,000,000.00.
