Description
The Regional Maintenance Center at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS & IMF) is conducting market research to determine industry capability and interest in performing the maintenance, repair, and preservation of IX-551. Work will be accomplished at the Contractor's facility. The Government is seeking responses from sources that can perform the following work.
Geographical Area of consideration: To facilitate proper government oversight, the facility shall be located in the Puget Sound, WA region. For this procurement, the Puget Sound, WA region is defined as the West Coast of the continental US, starting from Olympia, WA and extending northward to Bellingham, WA.

Scope Overview:
Coordinate with the Contracting Officer, via the Contracting Officer-s Representative (COR) to deliver the vessel to the Contractor-s facility. Upon docking the vessel, wash, and clean the exterior surfaces of the vessel. Blast and preserve all exterior hull surfaces, underwater body, freeboard, moon pools and bulwark surfaces of the vessel. Accomplish visual inspections of hull and body and all tank/voids. Remove existing and install new zinc anodes and hardware on the under hull. Shift the vessel on the blocks to achieve 100 percent preservation of underwater hull. Apply non-skid system to 02/03 level decks. Accomplish preliminary and final air tests to tanks/voids. Open, pump, ventilate, gas free and clean all tanks. Accomplish partial preservation of Quantity 24 EA tanks. Preserve tank/void manhole covers. Identify distinguishing figures and markings, Remove, clean and reinstall rubber fenders. Open and inspect all pumps and overboard discharge valves.
