- Description:
- The City of Chesapeake Public Works Department is seeking proposals from materials testing firms who wish to be considered to provide Material Testing Services on an as needed basis. The Material Testing Service shall provide all field and lab work necessary to complete the services. All tests and reports are to be performed by or under the supervision of a professional engineer licensed to perform this type of work. The labs and technicians performing tests must meet the standards set forth in the VDOT LAP Manual, including, but not limited to VDOT LAP manual Section 13.2.4 for technicians certifications, and Section 13.2.5 for laboratory qualifications. The City intends to select multiple firms for use on various materials testing projects.
