- Description The Iowa Department of Health and Human Services is seeking Psychiatric Residential Treatment Program(s) (PRTF), which Iowa refers to as Psychiatric Medical Institutions for Children (PMICs), willing to serve young Iowans with high acuity behavioral health needs and/or co-occurring diagnoses. Specifically, the Agency is seeking new PMICs or current PMICs to provide additional or enhanced specialized care to children including, but not limited to, those with problematic sexualized behaviors, a history of aggression, a cooccurring intellectual disability, and/or a cooccurring Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) diagnosis.
