The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to identify potential sources capable of performing the effort described herein pursuant to FAR Part 10, Market Research and FAR Part 19, Small Business Programs. This is for planning purposes only.
Any information submitted by respondents to this Source Sought Notice is voluntary. The Air Force does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this notice or to otherwise pay for the information solicited. Respondents should not construe this notice as a commitment by the Air Force for any purpose, and should refrain from providing proprietary information in the response.
1. INTRODUCTION: This is the initial step in the planning process for Medal of Honor Alarm Relocation.
The 377th MSG/PKA at Kirtland Air Force Base (KAFB) is conducting market research to identify qualified sources capable of providing a performance-based, non-personal service to install an alarm security system to protect a Medal of Honor at the 351st Special Warfare Training Squadron (SWTS) facility on Kirtland AFB, in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS).
The objective of this effort is to provide enhanced security for a Medal of Honor display within the 351st SWTS. The required service includes the installation of an alarm security system that integrates seamlessly with Kirtland AFB-s existing Intrusion Detection System (IDS). The system must utilize a Balance Magnetic Switch (BMS) alarm, which will be integrated with the existing Medal of Honor display case. The contractor must be a Government Value-Added Reseller (VAR) approved to provide security system services to the U.S. Government.
377 MSG/PKA anticipates conducting a competitive acquisition for this effort. The effort is expected to result in a Firm-Fixed-Price contract. NAICS code is anticipated to be 238210, size standard $19.0M.
