Description:
The City of Chesapeakes Integrated Behavioral Healthcare (CIBH) Department is seeking proposals from qualified individual providers and/or group practices (herein referred to as the \"Provider\") who are licensed to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Virginia to provide Medical Director services for two Intellectual/Developmental Disability Intermediate Care Facilities (ICF- IDD) located in Chesapeake, Virginia. The ICF-IDDs of the City of Chesapeake are Highlands Place East and Highlands Place West. There are five (5) individuals receiving services at each location.The intention is to award this contract to two (2) providers where the highest ranked offeror will serve as the primary Medical Director, and the next highest ranked will serve as a backup provider in the event that the primary choice is unavailable. The resulting contract shall be structured as a paid service to ensure that compensation is not provided to any provider who does not deliver services consistently throughout the month, in recognition of their status as a backup. The City is not seeking proposals for temporary service providers. Therefore, proposals submitted by temporary health services providers are not eligible for submission for these services.
