- SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS
The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing a sources sought synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in and the resources to support a requirement for Diagnostic Medical Physicist Services for the following Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) 12 facility: William S. Middleton VA Hospital in Madison, WI. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 541990 All Other Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services.
THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals; submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary; the Government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred.
Requirements:
Provide Diagnostic Medical Physicist services to provide inspections to Radiographic, Fluorscopy, Computed Radiography, Digital Radiography, Dental, Nuclear Cardiology (SPECT) equipment and display monitors, provide inspections after repairs or modifications to the equipment withing 48 hours, provide acceptance testing for new or relocated equipment, provide follow-up inspections to verify compliance after corrective actions, provide shielding design, provide safety training, review QA program annually which may include technique charts, repeat/reject analysis monitoring, monitoring of exposure indices to radiographic image receptors, QA program for display monitors, QA for CT, and monitoring of dose metrics from fluoroscopy studies, and perform manually calculated peak skin dose and provide a report for clinical follow-up for patients receiving a peak skin dose of 5 Gray (Gy) or more.
