Description:
The International Finance Corporation (IFC) is the privatesector arm of the World Bank. IFC has partnered with a payment service providerin Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) to improve financial inclusion in themarket. The project has various components that aim to promote the use of digitalwallets for payments and acceptance channels called merchants (mainly operatedby micro, small and medium enterprises - SMEs). This assignment aims to expandthe number of payments acceptance points and volume of payments in the marketas well as acquisition of new digital wallet users who will help generate the ecosystemof digital payments in the region of focus. To achieve this, IFC is looking toengage the services of a specialized Merchant and Customer Acquisition firm toexpand the merchant and user network. This will be achieved it through theclient-s existing field management structures and teams in KatangaProvince. The assignment may be expanded to other parts of the countrysubject to the client-s needs.
