SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSISThe Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing this sources sought synopsis as a means of conducting market research to identify firms having an interest in and the resources to support a requirement for service on the building automation system (Metasys) located at the Jesse Brown VA Medical Center, 820 S. Damen Avenue, Chicago, IL 60612. The result of this market research may contribute to determining the method of procurement. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 561210 Facilities Support Services.THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for quotes; submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary; the government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred. Tentative requirements: Provide all necessary labor and tools for the inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of temperature control systems and devices. The contractor shall provide on-site controls service technician support for a total of 32 hours per week. The technician must have the ability to conduct preventive maintenance, repair, installation, commissioning and general servicing of controls systems with minimal supervision, including detailed troubleshooting expertise. The technician must have a minimum of three years of relevant industry experience, or five years of experience in servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems specifically within the HVAC sector. Technicians must have a mechanical Journeyman license, valid certifications and licenses to work with refrigerants as required by regulatory standards.
