BACKGROUND
NIST is seeking information from sources that may be capable of providing a commercial item solution that meets or exceeds the following draft minimum specifications:
Microwave Source characteristics Operating frequency tunable from 10 kHz to 65 GHz Power programmable from -100 dBm to 3 dBm at or above 60 GHz Modulation capabilities Programmable amplitude modulation required Modulation of waveform type Modulation of waveform depth from 10-100% full signal amplitude Modulation frequency 1 kHz to 100 kHz Programmable phase and frequency modulation as options Pulse capabilities Pulse rise/fall times Internal and external pulse triggering capability General noise characteristics Total harmonic noise Measured performance of phase noise away from carrier provided with source Inputs & outputs 10 MHz or other stable reference (input and output) AM/FM/PM modulation waveform input Pulse triggering input Sync pulse output Interface ports: GPIB strongly preferred USB or TCP/IP also desired Form factor Standard rack mount HOW TO RESPOND TO THIS NOTICE
