BACKGROUND The School District of Washington covers approximately 254 square miles and includes seven elementary schools, one middle school, one high school, one area vocational school, an early childhood center, one maintenance warehouse, a technology and learning center, and one administrative building. School District of Washington Architectural Services Washington, MO Request for Qualification (RFQ) Page 4 of 10 PROJECT The firm hired will work under the direction of the Superintendent of Schools and/or her designees. The firm will be actively involved in the services of planning, drawings, prototype development, specification development, project development, construction cost estimates, recommended services by others, and pre-referendum assistance. SCOPE OF WORK 1. Pre-Referendum Services including but not limited to: a. Focus group meetings b. Programming c. Programmatic layouts and renderings for bond campaigning d. Attend community engagement meetings If the bond passes in services below may be required. 2. General Design and Construction Phase Services may include (but not limited to) the following as the responsibility of the Firm: a. Program review and validation b. Conceptual planning c. Participation in up to two (2) community engagement events d. Demolition Plans e. Architectural and Interior Design f. Elevator design (if required) g. Mechanical Engineering h.
