Description
The Southeast Regional Maintenance Center is issuing this Pre-Solicitation Notice to support the upcoming IDIQ Solicitation for MK 41 Vertical Launch System (VLS) Hatch overhaul requirement. Solicitation will be available on or about 1 April 2025.
Interested parties must be approved by In Service Engineering Agent (ISEA) and have their qualifications IAW NAVSEA Instruction 8394.2G of 10 May 2013, MK 41 VLS Safety and Design Precepts. Qualified titles are as follows (but not limited to) Certified Systems Maintenance Technicians (SMT) or certified VLS Test Directors (TD). Further, the successful awardee must conduct overhauls IAW VLS IMS NO 4810-6692849-019 REV F and have a minimum of 3 years- experience on MK 41 VLS hatches.
In accordance with FAR Part 19, it has been determined based on the Government's market research; this solicitation will not be set aside for a Small Business. The solicitation is full and open to all bidders with the certification requirements as stated above.
The Government intends to award a single source Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) firm-fixed price contract for a base period of one (1) year and four (4) option year years. This work will be performed at the contractor-s facility. NAICS Code 336611 applies. This notice is for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP).
