The Department of Navy, Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), on behalf of the Program Executive Office Undersea Warfare Systems (PEO UWS), Undersea Defensive Warfare Systems (PMS 415), is conducting market research in accordance with FAR Part 10 to identify sources interested in fulfilling the requirement for the manufacturing and life cycle support of the MK77 Gas Generator (GG). The MK77 GG consists of an igniter plate, main propellant grain, and housing, including electrical connectors and wiring. It is utilized as the impulse launch system for submarine External Countermeasure Launcher (ECL) payloads. The Navy requires the capability and delivery of a MK77 GG to provide to the submarine fleet with full rate production within 12 months of contract award.

Provide an overall Concept of Operations and technical approach of the function and capabilities of the MK77 GG you are capable of delivering, including:
GG Technologies: Submarine launch - Describe method of GG submarine launch including maximum launch energy, and radiated noise. Grain manufacture- describe propellant grain formulation technology and standards. Describe the approach for meeting submarine environmental (performance) certification standards, not limited to the following: Hazards of Electromagnetic Radiation to Ordnance (HERO), E3, explosive (shipboard) shock qualification, shipboard vibration, and ordnance qualification per MIL-STD-2105 and other Navy/DoD munitions requirements and certification guidance.
