SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS/REQUEST FOR INFORMATION
Edwards AFB, AFTC is seeking sources capable of supplying Mobile Ballistic Shields.
The following salient characteristics are as follows:
All pieces to the equipment must be Black in color. Must be 36” x 46” x 77” in size. Must be a minimum of National Institute of Justice Level III ballistics certified and meet the Department of State Standard 01.01. Must incorporate a clear, transparent viewing panel to provide an unobstructed view of approaching traffic. Must be easily maneuverable by a single guard. Must have the capability to house an infrared heater rated for outdoor usage. The awning for the mobile ballistic shields must be a minimum 36” x 52” to cover the guard from inclement weather. The mobile ballistic shield must be fully assembled upon delivery.THIS IS A MARKET SURVEY FOR INFORMATION ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR QUOTES AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS SYNOPISIS. NO REIMBURSEMENT WILL BE MADE FOR ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH PROVIDING INFORMATION IN RESPONSE TO THIS SYNOPSIS OR ANY FOLLOW-UP INFORMATION REQUESTS. THE PURPOSE OF THIS SYNOPSIS IS TO GAIN KNOWLEDGE OF POTENTIALLY QUALIFIED SOURCES AND THEIR SIZE CLASSIFICATIONS (SMALL BUSINESS, LARGE BUSINESS, ETC.). PLEASE DO NOT REQUEST A COPY OF A SOLICITATION, AS ONE DOES NOT EXIST.
1. Purpose.
This is a Sources Sought Synopsis in support of Market Research being conducted by the United States Air Force to identify potential sources able to provide this system components.
