This announcement constitutes a pre-solicitation synopsis and serves as market research in accordance with FAR Part 10. This synopsis is issued solely for market research and planning purposes. The purpose is to improve the Government's understanding of the current marketplace and to identify capable sources - THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. This synopsis is not to be construed as commitment on the part of the Government to award a contract nor does the Government intend to directly pay for any information of responses submitted as the result of this synopsis.
The Department of the Air Force, Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC), Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Fighters & Advanced Aircraft Directorate (AFLCMC/WA), F-15 System Program Office (AFLCMC/WAQ), Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio (WPAFB) contemplates utilizing multiple contracting vehicles, such as stand-alone contracts and Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contracts, for United States Air Force (USAF) and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers to satisfy future modernization requirements, enterprise management, and select sustainment requirements of the F-15 Eagle Weapon System. AFLCMC/WAQ will utilize multiple contract vehicles and are intended to cover those types of supplies/services which have historically been acquired sole source from the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), and future requirements for which the United States Government (USG) would solicit and negotiate on a sole source basis as authorized by FAR Part 6. This is not bundling of efforts that might otherwise be acquired from a source or sources other than the OEM.
