THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL OR INVITATION FOR BID.
The US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Detroit District is seeking contractors with the capability to provide construction services for maintenance dredging activities in the Monroe Harbor, located in Monroe, Michigan.
Tasks are expected to include:
Mobilize dredge to the Monroe Harbor. Hydraulically dredge using the box method. Placement of dredged material will be in the Placement location is Cell 2 at Sterling State Park confined disposal facility (CDF). Demobilize when complete.The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this work is 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction, which has a small business size standard of $37.0 million in average annual receipts for dredging and surface cleanup activities.
The Government intends to solicit this opportunity as an Invitation for Bid (IFB). The IFB is intended to be issued as a 100% set-aside for small businesses and the government intends to award to the lowest priced bid that is determined to be responsible.

The Government intends to issue a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) Construction Contract.

The solicitation package materials, documents, drawings, specifications, and attachments to the anticipated solicitation will be available only electronically and via the PIEE Solicitation Module and/or SAM.gov which is free of charge. Hard copy documents will NOT be supplied by the Government to any interested parties as a result of this pre-solicitation notice or the upcoming solicitation.
