Description:
FSD is seeking to establish a contract with one or multiple professionals or organizations who are qualified to train staff in Motivational Interviewing using the curriculum and manual reviewed by the Title IV-E Prevention Services Clearinghouse. This contractor shall provide Motivational Interviewing training to staff Statewide that may include FSD staff and contracted service providers. This training shall include an initial introductory component followed by a plan for ongoing reflection and skill building. This may be live, self-paced, or a hybrid of the two. A proposal that provides an option for on-demand or frequently occurring introductory training is preferred. This contractor shall ensure that staff can demonstrate that they are administering Motivational Interviewing to fidelity once trained and can provide all necessary data as required by the Family First Prevention Services Act. Fidelity monitoring may include, but is not limited to: training staff to utilize evaluative tools to monitor fidelity and improve practice; direct observation and evaluation by the contractor; train-the trainer, or other method as proposed by the contractor. Methods of training and fidelity monitoring that account for staff turnover and offer regular or on-demand options and include a plan for sustainability are preferred.
