Description:
Full Event Name: Statewide Organics Recycling for Multifamily Buildings GrantThe Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) seeks proposals for pilot projects or programs that expand participation in organics recycling by residents of multifamily buildings in Minnesota. The goal of this grant program is to increase multifamily residents- access to organics recycling throughout the state by funding pilot projects or programs at multifamily residential buildings. Expanding access to, and participation in, organics recycling at multifamily residences will reduce the amount of organic material being landfilled or incinerated. Project workplans must include 1.) specific actions to either expand access to residents or buildings without current access to organics recycling, or to increase participation at buildings with existing organics recycling programs; 2.) a plan for measuring and evaluating the results of the project, and 3.) an educational component directed towards the residents who will be participating in the program. Funding the continuation of an existing multifamily organics recycling program without including any new actions that the program is not already engaged in is not an eligible use of funds.
