Description
Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Aviation is issuing this sources sought as a means of conducting market research to determine if other companies are capable of manufacturing (or legitimately obtaining) the NSNs listed in the attachment. The NSNs are sole source to Honeywell and exclusively licensed to Boeing Distribution Services, Inc. (BDSI), CAGE 2N935. Estimated annual quantities are provided in the attachment. It is expected the NSNs will be added to BDSI long-term, Subsumable Contract SPE4AX-20-D-9412 (Umbrella Contract SPE4AX-20-D-9411). The contract was issued on an unrestricted basis and is supported by a Justification and Approval (J&A) for Other than Full and Open Competition in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.
The Sources Sought is for informational purposes only. This is not a request for an offer. This does not constitute a solicitation and shall not be construed as a commitment by the government. Responses in any form are not offers and the government is under no obligation to award a contract because of this announcement. No funds are available to pay for preparation of responses to this announcement. Any information submitted by respondents to this technical description is strictly voluntary.
Interested parties who consider themselves qualified to manufacture (or legitimately obtain) the above listed supplies are invited to submit a response to this Sources Sought notice by March 20, 2025.
Contract/Program Background: There is currently a Fixed-Price, Requirements Umbrella Contract SPE4AX-20-D-9411 and Subsumable Contract SPE4AX-20-D-9412 with Prospective Price Redetermination with BDSI, CAGE 2N935. The contract contains a five-year base period and five-year option period for a total of ten years.
