Description:
The City of New London (the “City”) seeks proposals from qualified clean energy developers (the Bidders) to provide municipal Virtual Net Metering (“VNM”) offtake from clean energy system or systems (the “System(s)”) in Eversource territory that will offset up to 5,300,000 kWh/year of the City-s electrical load. The Bidder and the City will participate in the August/September 2025 bid round of Year 4 of Connecticut-s Non-residential Renewable Energy Solutions Program (the “NRES Program”), with VNM for State, Agricultural, and Municipal (“SAM”) properties, administered by Eversource, and if necessary the February/March 2026 bid round of Year 5 of the NRES Program. The Bidder-s System(s) will provide financial benefit to the City through a power purchase agreement or other similar contractual relationship with the City.
