Description:
The Town of Barrington is seeking proposals from qualified firms to serve as a consultant to the Town in the development of a flood risk reduction project scoping study for the Mussachuck Creek Corridor, a network of water bodies within the town of Barrington and the Narragansett Bay watershed that includes the creek, Echo Lake, Brickyard Pond, and contiguous streams and wetlands.The study will include, at a minimum, the following elements:• An investigation of the hydrological and hydraulic dynamics of the Mussachuck Creek Corridor, delineating this watershed and its sub-watersheds, and evaluating the riverine dynamics of the corridor;• A comprehensive flood impact analysis;• Development of alternative flood mitigation strategies with a feasibility assessment of each;• A comprehensive evaluation of viable options for moving forward to the design and engineering of viable alternative strategies;• Community engagement activities in support of this study.LINK TO THE RFP: https://www.barrington.ri.gov/Bids.aspx
