The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Memphis District is conducting market research to identify potential sources capable of providing a new mooring winch system. The winches will be mounted on the Vicksburg District-s new 400- long Mooring Barge to include twenty (20) Hydraulic Mooring Winches mounted on ten (10) main foundation bases, three (3) centralized HPU-s, controls, all hydraulic piping, and various mooring winch deck fittings (sheaves & fairleads). The primary mission of these winches is to properly position the Mooring Barge to execute Mat Sinking operations in support the Revetment mission for the Lower Mississippi River.
