Offeror's Qustions and Answers
The following are questions and answers from potential offeror's:
1. Please provide the mechanical, structural and electrical drawings for the existing system.
Answer: Current documents require written consent from OEM. This request was made and denied. The awardee will have access to the documents after contract award.2. There is a possible impact of tariffs on some of the parts for this project, for eg. Conductor bar. How do we account for tariffs for this contract?
Answer: At this time the impacts of increased tariffs are unknown for acquisitions, the Government cannot provide an answer on how we will proceed until it possibly becomes an issue. The Current Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) dictates procedures and applicability for price adjustment of existing contracts.3. We request you to extend the proposal submission date by 2 weeks min.
Answer: The proposal submission date is extended by two weeks.4. There are certain parts that are to be replaced after inspection, will the government issue a change order after the inspections are completed?
Answer: The government does not anticipate issuing change orders for replacements identified through the inspection process outlined in the Statement of Work. Offerors should include the cost of potential replacements in their firm-fixed-price proposals. If a major change is identified, discussions on how to proceed will occur at that time.Solicitation Extension
