- The purpose of this posting is to announce the intent to increase the ceiling amount on Contract N0016422DGP73 via modification P00006.
ITEM DESCRIPTION: Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division has a requirement to procure TR-333 Hydrophone Audio Transformers to include Foreign Military Sales (FMS).
SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT: Contract N0016422DGP73 procures supplies that are sole sourced to OECO, 4607 SE International Way, Milwaukee, OR 97222, (CAGE 95266) in accordance with the statutory authrotiy 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implememnted by FAR 6.302-1. This is a sole source procurement because OECO is the only responsible source capable of satisfying the agency's requirements and no other type of supplies will satisfy the agency's requirements. The program requires critical component suppliers to go through an extensive qualfication plan, to include inspection, certification, first article testing, and operational testing. Awarding to any other source would result in duplicative cost to the Government that is not expected ot be recovered through competition as well as unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency requirement.
All responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the agency. However, a determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this special notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
