The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is seeking information from sources that may be capable of providing a narrow-linewidth, Cs D1 transition laser. If no alternate sources are identified, the Government intends to issue a Sole Source Award to OEwaves under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b) only one reasonably found source. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 334516.
NIST has a need for a narrow linewidth, CsD1 transition laser that meets or exceeds the following draft minimum specifications:
The Contractor shall provide one narrow linewidth, CsD1 transition laser that meet the following minimum specifications:
This[T(1] purchase is to meet the Fundamental Thermodynamics Group need for delivery of a narrow linewidth, CsD1 transition laser.
Ultra-narrow, single-frequency laser.
The laser shall have an output light wavelength centered at 894.59 nm. The laser output light must be coupled to PM-FC/APC (PANDA fiber, key aligned to Slow Axis), with output power (through the fiber) of at least 40 mW. The laser shall have an instantaneous (Lorentzian) spectral linewidth less than or equal to 10 Hz. The laser shall have frequency noise less than 35 Hz/ÖHz (at 1 kHz offset), 12 Hz/ÖHz (at 10 kHz offset), and 5 Hz/ÖHz (at 1 MHz offset) The laser shall have relative intensity noise less than -140 dBc/Hz at 10 MHz. The laser shall have short-term stability of 2×10-9 at 1 s integration time or better. The laser shall have mode hop free tuning range of at least 30 GHz.
