NAVSUP WSS Philadelphia solicitation to L3 Technologies Inc. (06401) for the repair and retrofit of items for the MIDS TTNT System and FMS items. The intention of this solicitation is to award a five year Basic Ordering Agreement.
Description
This is the NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) Philadelphia solicitation to L3 Technologies Inc. (06401) for the repair of items in support of the Common Avionics platform for the MIDS TTNT, as well as MIDS JTRS, MIDS LVT, and MIDS TTNT FMS items. The intention of this solicitation is to award a five year Basic Ordering Agreement. The contract will include repair of the parts listed in the attachment. The government intends to contract on a sole source basis with the above mentioned source. They are the only known source of supply for these items. This acquisition is being processed in accordance with Part 15 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). The applicable NAICS code is 334220. The requirement will be procured in accordance with FAR 6.302-1--only limited responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. All responsible sources may identify their interest and capability by responding to the requirement or submit proposals, quotations, or capability statements. Based on the market research, the Government's need cannot be met by a type of item customarily available in the marketplace. FAR Part 12 shall not be used. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
