Description:
The Town of Los Gatos is seeking the services of architectural firms or teams of firms with specific experience in public safety projects to assess the existing operations building of the Los Gatos Monte Sereno Police Department (the Department). Currently the Department works from two locations: Headquarters, located at 110 East Main Street; and the Police Operations Building (POB), located at 15900 Los Gatos Boulevard. The Department is interested in consolidating its operations to the POB.The goal of this project is to evaluate the POB, assess the needs of the Department and provide direction on what improvements or modifications would be needed for all current Department staff to work at that location and how the location might accommodate future increases in staffing. The assessment must include interior space as well as exterior facilities such as staff, patrol vehicle and visitor parking. The end product should be a written report stating existing and future needs of the Department, with recommendations, design concepts and conceptual level cost analyses.
