Notice of Intent to Sole Source RequirementThe Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Healthcare System, Network 10 Contracting Office intends to negotiate a sole source contract for preventive maintenance service for Neuropathology Testing Systems under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and the authority of FAR Part 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source for the following services listed below. The associated NAICS code for this is 541380. The vendor will be TheraPath Partners LLC 545 W 45th St Fl 7, New York, New York 10036-3409Description of services: Neuropathology Services for the specialized testing associated with muscle, nerve, and epidermal biopsies for neuromuscular disorders, neuropathy, and small fiber neuropathy. TheraPath has the mandatory (CLIA) Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendment licenses and/or accredited by the College of American Pathologist, the Center for Disease Control, Medicare and/or state regulatory agencies as mandated by federal and state statutes. A firm fixed price contract for 10 months is anticipated and will be awarded. It is the Government's belief that only the proposed candidate possesses the required capabilities to successfully meet this requirement. It is the Government's intention to solicit and negotiate with only this source. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Documentation and Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) Licenses required.
