Salmon River Seed Orchard Well Drilling
C.1 SCOPE OF CONTRACTThis project aims to provide potable water to the nursery located at the Salmon River Seed Orchard. TheForest Service plans to drill a well to provide potable water to the nursery. The well will be completed inaccordance with the plans and specifications provided by the Forest. If the first well drilled does not meetspecifications, then, additional alternative 1 (Option 1) will be utilized to decommission the first welldrilled and then drill a second well. If well 2 does not meet specifications, then additional alternative 2(Option 2) will be utilized to decommission the second well.
C.2 PROJECT LOCATIONThis project is in the Salmon River Seed Orchard contained within the Nez Perce-Clearwater NationalForests. The project is located in Section 23, Township 26N, Range 1E.
C.3 MAGNITUDE OF CONSTRUCTION PROJECTIn accordance with FAR Part 36.204(c) Between $100,000 and $250,000.
C.4 SITE VISITPer FAR Part 52.236-3 “Site Investigation and Conditions Affecting the Work”, contractor is encouragedand expected to visit the site. No official Site Visit shall be performed. Contractors are highly encouragedto visit the Salmon River Seed Orchard to familiarize themselves with the layout of the site.
C.5 PERIOD OF PERFORMANCEWork on the site shall commence no earlier than October 15, 2025, and proceed in accordance with thecontractor-s approved work schedule and run continuously till the end of the project no later than October15th, 2026. - Documents:
