Project Title: NOAA Fast Rescue Boat (FRB) Long Lead Time Material (LLTM) Procurement
The US Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Eastern Acquisition Division (EAD) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Allied Systems Company, using the procedures in FAR Part 13, to provide required LLTM required for the 5-year overhaul to be completed during the FY2026 Dockside Repair project from the manufacturer-s representative in accordance with the Statement of Work (SOW). Allied Systems Company is the OEM of the Fast Rescue Boat and per the Allied Systems Company technical specifications, and Allied Systems Company service technicians must be used for any parts or maintenance on the davits. The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1) as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 6.302-1 entitled, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.
The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this acquisition is 336611, Ship Building and Repairing with a business size standard of 1300 employees.
