Description:
PURPOSE: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District, is issuing an Request for Proposal (RFP) for a Firm Fixed-Price (FFP) construction contract for the North Jetty Repairs Project at Indian River Inlet in Sussex County, DE. DESCRIPTION: The Indian River Inlet north rubblemound jetty is degraded and will be repaired as follows: The contractor shall repair a 1) subaerial section of the degraded north jetty, 2) additional submerged/seaward sections of the north jetty as needed to stabilize the repairs and 3) construct a new seaward terminus. Work will entail re-construction of a portion of the rubble mound structure using large rock and other components such as marine mattresses. The jetty is located in an inlet environment with deep scour holes, swift currents and dynamic conditions. Both land and marine-based construction are anticipated. DISCLOSURE OF MAGNITUDE OF THE PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION PROJECT: $25,000,000 and $100,000,000. NAICS CODE AND SBA SIZE STANDARD: 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction, Size Standard $45.0M. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: 730 Calendar Days from the Notice to Proceed (NTP). Pre-Proposal Site Visit: The pre-proposal site visit has been scheduled for Wednesday, 12 November 2025 at 10:30 AM Eastern Standard Time (EST), at Delaware Seashore State Park, North Inlet Day Area 39183 Inlet Road, Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971.
