The 482d Contracting Flight intends to award a sole source contract to Phillips Corporation Inc. for the acquisition of an add on 5-axis machine unit to compliment current HAAS VF-4 CNC machines. All of the associated hardware, software, computer drivers, installation fixtures and tools needed to perform the machining operation once the 5-axis are to be included. Training use of new attachment is also requested.
Phillips Corporation Inc. is the sole and exexclusive distributor of Haas CNC Machine Tools and any associated factory certified service, training and applications work for United Sates Government facilities. This includes any factory certified service related contracts, maintenance agreements, training and applications work on Haas equipment. Haas CNC machines and components (collectively, "Haas Products") are warranted by manufacturer against defects in material and workmanship. All out of warranty repair parts carry a warranty, provided the repair is performed by a Haas Certified Technician. Only repairs performed by Haas Certified technicians will be warranted. It has been determined this is a sole source requirement, as The Air Force Metals Technology Office has not sourced or been able to qualify any additional CNC 5 Axis attachments that will meet the criteria as needed. HAAS brand name CNC machines are used within the machining shops on HARB and thus compatible with the HAAS brand name attachments.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency.
Interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements described above are invited to submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation demonstrating their ability to provide the required software license and support.
