Description:
The description of services intended for purchase from a Single Source is posted in accordance with section 287.057(3)(c), Florida Statutes and will be posted for a minimum of 7 business days.This is a Notice for a Sole Source Source designation for Clay County Board of County Commissioners.Commodity or Service Required:I-Con (Intelligent Water Conservation): battery flush valves for quick response to shutting down plumbing system in the event of blockage and / or overflowItems: replace existing battery flush valves with new AC powered flush valves with quick connect solenoids, replace existing pneumatic lavatory valves with new AC powered single temperature lavatory valves with quick connect solenoids, provide handheld tablet, wireless network interface and wired network interface for maintenance, install stainless steel multi-station lavatories and electronic lavatory valves, install envisage water management consoles, install all necessary AC electrical power from existing circuits and communication backbone to support system, install (1) double conversion lithium UPS with line conditioning to supply (1) existing transformer.Justification for Single/Sole Source Acquisition:This system is a sole source product thats manufactured, sold and distributed by I-Con Systems, Inc. There is no other like item or product available for purchase that would serve the same function or meet the same specifications. I-Con products are currently protected by intellectual property rights, including but not limited to: trademarks, patents and pending patents in the U.S. and internationally.Recommended Procurement Approach:For the reason stated above, Clay County Purchasing Department intends to utilize the Sole Source Procurement method to contract with I-Con (Intelligent Water Conservation) for supplying the above.
