Tender are invited for Notice of Intentfor the ADEC Hazardous Waste Program to Seek Program Approval from EPA The Department of Environmental Conservation (ADEC), Division of Environmental Health, Hazardous Waste Program is seeking authorization from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to regulate hazardous waste in Alaska, in lieu of EPA. As part of the process, ADEC is seeking comments from the public on its views on the proposed program, including comments on the draft of the application that will be submitted to EPA for authorization of the ADEC Hazardous Waste Program. The application includes 4 parts as required by Title 40, Part 271 of the Code of Federal Regulations (40 CFR 271): The Hazardous Waste Regulations in Title 18, Chapter 62 of the Alaska Administrative Code (18 AAC 62) The DRAFT Program Description, that describes how the program is structured and how it will conduct operations; The DRAFT Attorney General-s Statement, that describes how Alaska laws apply to the adoption of the federal Program, including comparisons between state and federal statutes and regulations; and, The DRAFT M... - Documents:
