Description
The U.S. Department of Energy, Oak Ridge Environmental Management (OREM) plans to issue a purchase order to Stephen W. Hackney (SWH). SWH is an architectural landscape design firm with a unique working knowledge of the former K-25 site and its rich history which will assist OREM-s mission in the historic preservation effort to present the former K-25 site-s footprint in a dignified and meaningful manner. SWH has successfully performed this type of work with other contractors to preserve other areas of the K-25 site for public viewing and historical insight.
The Government intends to award a sole source purchase order to SWH. The period of performance for this award will be for a period of one year from February 20, 2025, through February 19, 2026.
The award will be issued via Simplified Acquisition Procedures, Other than Full and Open competition, Only One Responsible Source and no other supplies and services will satisfy agency requirements. This is a NOTICE OF INTENT; no solicitation is available for this requirement.
The authority permitting this sole source acquisition without full and open competition is prescribed by FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. No solicitation is available for this requirement. No telephone calls will be accepted.
