Description
This is a notice of intent to award a sole source firm fixed price contract using FAR Part 12 and Part 13 Procedures.
Supply/Service needed: Brass Music Arranger for the United States Marine Drum and Bugle Corps. The arranger will develop the music in motion program, attend bi-weekly meetings to develop the musical prdoucts, deliver five music arrangements for brass instruments and implement minor revisions.
Qualifications Required: Brass Aranger for a championship-level Drim Corps International World Class Esnsemble and professional brass ensembles.(must demonstrate vast familiarity with a wide range of genres - including symphonic, patriotic, and popular music. Musical arrangements establish the identity of a musical ensemble). Familiarity with industry-standard music notation software Sibelius. Minimum of a Master-s degree in music. Experience transposing music for bugles in the key of “G” into arrangements for modern brass instruments in the keys of “B-flat” and “F.”
The government intends to award on a sole source basis to: Jeffrey D. Shaw, 249 Whiteford Way, Lexington, South Carolina 29072 under the authority FAR 13.106-1(b), the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonable available.
All interested and/or responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency.
