NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE - ROLIC TECHNOLOGIES AG

BAZAAR V

The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP), Office of the Chief Procurement Officer (OCPO), on behalf of the Office of Research and Development (R&D), intends to award a Single-Award Indefinite-Delivery Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) Firm-Fixed Price contract for the continued R&D of an overt security feature, known as BAZAAR V, with the goal of allowing the further potential to integrate already developed features into a relevant US banknote environment and incorporating the newly developed features and application onto US distinctive paper substrate at a secure BEP facility with work performed by trained BEP personnel.
The scope of BAZAAR is to further the technology with United States (US) exclusive optical effects and unique physical properties suitable to the needs of the BEP and the United States Currency Program (USCP) utilizing a Justification and Approval in accordance with FAR subpart 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)(A) and (B). The intended contractor is Rolic Technologies AG.
This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive offers, quotes or proposals. A determination not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any cost associated with the preparation and submission of data or information, or any other costs incurred in responding to this notice is the sole responsibility of the respondent and will not be reimbursed by the Government.
