Description
The Bureau of Prisons intends to award a firm-fixed-price sole source contract to Colt Manufacturing Company, LLC under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements."
This requirement is for M16/AR-15/M-4 series Colt Rifle Certification Training Courses for the Bureau of Prisons- Correctional Programs Division that enables Security Officers to inspect, maintain, and repair Colt rifles at their respective institutions.
The anticipated contract value is approximately $34,200.
The Government has determined that Colt Manufacturing Company, LLC is the only known source capable of providing the required services/supplies due to the proprietary training material required to maintain factory warranty compliance.
This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency if received by the response deadline.
